After having my CHI straightener for years it died on me. I often wondered about other flat irons because sometimes my hair would be a little frizzy after using the CHI. I have thick curly hair. It literally takes me 2 hours to straighten my hair. My cousin suggested the Paul Mitchell flat iron and I was skeptical, because her hair type is complete opposite of mine. But, I got past my skepticism and I bought the flat iron and boy was I impressed. Not only was I able to cut my straightening time in half buy my hair was so smooth afterwards.
The only thing that I am not too crazy about is that it did make my hair flat. The next time I straightened it I did use a volumizing shampoo and it did help it to not be so flat. Overall, I am satisfied with this flat iron. The Paul Mitchell straightener is one of the best irons on the market. Number one it is gets hot and ready to go in less than a minute and it gets as hot as 400 degrees. And, with curly hair you need the extra heat. I definitely recommend this flat iron to the curly girls out there. Also, the Paul Mitchell Protools flat iron works very well with the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. Which makes sense because they formulated it to work along with their flat iron.
